YEATS DAY 2020
On Saturday June 13th we were pleased to celebrate Yeats day joining Yeat’s expert and biographer Anthony Jordan as in 2020 this annual event was celebrated virtually. Anthony "Tony" J. Jordan, a native of Ballyhaunis, County Mayo is an Irish biographer with a special interest on the interaction between the figures of Major John MacBride/WB Yeats and Maud Gonne. On discovering the MacBride Papers in the National Library of Ireland, he has made them available through his books in elucidation on MacBride from the criticism by WB Yeats and his admirers.

Anthony has been hosting the annual gathering of poetry lovers reciting poetry each Yeats by the statue of the poet on Sandymount Green. We invited all poetry lovers to tune in on Yeats Day via this link or view the video below and listen to some beautiful poetry.
